Gameloft Subsidiary FreshPlanet Brings Hit Music Trivia Game to Alexa in Time for Tenth Anniversary of Franchise
PARIS, FRANCE – August 30, 2022 - Gameloft, leader in the creation and publishing of games, and FreshPlanet, makers of the multi-awarded SongPop franchise are thrilled to announce that SongPop for Alexa, the latest in the popular award-winning mobile music trivia franchise, is now available on Alexa-enabled devices in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. This is the newest addition in the SongPop franchise and marks the ten year anniversary of the series.
Building on the success of the preceding SongPop titles, SongPop for Alexa leverages the rich catalog of music with the widest variety of genre options in the franchise, and combines it with the power of Amazon’s Alexa. Players can dive into the SongPop for Alexa experience by saying, “Alexa, open SongPop,” or via the Alexa app for iOS and Android. Customers can play SongPop for Alexa across a variety of Alexa-enabled devices, including the Echo Dot, Echo Show, Fire TV, and a wide variety of headphones, speakers, soundbars, smartwatches, cars and phones – this means players are never far from some music trivia!
SongPop for Alexa is a voice-forward version of SongPop, where players go through rounds of songs and are challenged to guess the artist or song title or both! Players will be tasked to see how many songs they get right before they hit three strikes and are out. With in-game score tracking, it’s always a challenge to outscore their last run. SongPop for Alexa will also include visual graphics for an even more engaging in-game experience for devices with screens.
